Oh don’t we all just love the spring?
The gentle warmth of the sunshine, the soft colour of the blossom on the trees and that feeling that change is in the air…

And what better time could there be to think about adding a fresh new selection of baby photos to your little one’s e-portfolio?
Here at Models Direct we encourage all the parents of our baby, toddler and child models to update their images regularly.
This is because youngsters grow and change so quickly and we – and our clients – need to know the pictures we are seeing actually reflect our young models as they are today.
If we look into an e-portfolio and can see images have not been refreshed for some time then it is difficult for us to put that little one forward for a job.
After all, they might have changed and may not now be quite what our client is looking for.

Baby and child modelling is highly competitive and keeping an e-portfolio up to date gives your little girl or boy the very best chance of being selected.
Ideally, we would like to see new photos every two or three months – therefore, changing them with the season makes perfect sense.

So how can you bring a touch of spring to your baby’s e-portfolio?
Well, firstly select some fabulous spring-like outfits.
Pastel pinks, blues, greens and yellows all look fabulous at this time of year.
Then think about patterns and designs.
Do you have anything featuring spring florals, such as daffodils or tulips, or animals like baby chicks and rabbits?

Keep the outfits bright and breezy but not quite as light as they might be during the summer months.
Then, look for a great prop or two – do you have any spring-like cuddly toys or a nice soft blanket in a lovely colour that will blend beautifully with his or her outfit?
Finally, wait for a nice sunny day and then head out to a suitable location.
Perhaps a lovely, lush lawn or a park where you can capture a bed of blooms in the background.
Make sure your baby is well positioned so we can see his or her whole face.
Keep them smiling as you snap away, ensuring your image is well framed and well lit.
We love seeing gorgeous new baby pics, especially when spring arrives, so start planning your photo shoot now and send us the results as soon as possible!
