Models Direct places female models on a whole host of different assignments, from fashion and beauty shoots through to household product and holiday promotions.
Our clients are numerous, varied and from a whole array of different industries and they require models of all types.
To help potential new female models gain more of an understanding of the incredible variety of bookings we send women of all ages along to, here are just a few examples:
Fashion modelling
This is where our female models are asked to pose for the cameras in particular, branded clothing or footwear. Fashion modelling might be for a website or catalogue. Occasionally, it is also at a live event, such as a fashion show.
Product modelling
Female models might be approached to help promote all kinds of products. This might be for a new beauty range, household accessory or supermarket collection – in fact, it could be for almost anything at all that you see out there in the shops or online! Our female models could be asked to pose beside a product or pretend to use it. Mostly, this type of modelling takes place on a photo or film shoot, but occasionally it is live and is then considered to be promotional modelling.
Promotional modelling
As outlined above, promotional modelling is a live form of advertising and brand awareness. Clients approach us for female models who are willing to attend a specific event, such as a trade show or the opening of new premises, to help draw attention to their product or service. Female promotional models might have to chat to members of the public, hand out leaflets and perhaps dress in a particular colour or branded outfit.
Lifestyle modelling
Lifestyle modelling can include fashion and product modelling, it can also involve helping to promote a particular service or offering for a client. Lifestyle modelling is basically where the advertiser appeals to our aspirations, hoping to tempt us to invest in whatever they are selling to bring us pleasure or improve our quality of life. Female models might be asked to help promote a hotel, fine dining experience or even a holiday – and, of course, this could involve overnight stays, delicious meals and even foreign travel!

Fitness modelling
Our female models may be asked if they have an interest in fitness or sports modelling. These fitness modelling jobs might be to help promote a health centre, exercise equipment or sports clothing. They tend to be filled by female models who are into fitness themselves as clients usually request someone who looks sporty.
Hair, hands or feet modelling
Models Direct also has female models who are employed for specific parts of their body. These tend to be the hair, hands and feet or nails. These shoots involve close-up photography and so the work tends to go to those with features that look in good shape. These types of shoots may well be for footwear, jewellery or hair product advertising.
Plus-size modelling
Models Direct is approached for female models of all shapes and sizes, including those who are larger than average. This is because in recent times there has been a growing realisation that advertisers need to appeal to all sorts of different potential consumers, including those who are curvy. Our plus-size models might be required to be part of a wide-ranging group of models of different sizes to help promote all kinds of products or services. We also have clients who specifically need plus-size females to model their fashion ranges.
