And, of course, if your question isn’t here or you need more information than our answers contain, please do get in touch.

Q: Who can book models through Models Direct?

A: Any individual, company, brand, charity, agency or organisation requiring a model can in theory use our services. We do, however, always research our clients and discuss their assignment in detail. We need to ensure the safety and comfort of all our male, female, child and pet models at all times and we need to be confident they will not be asked to undertake any activity they (or we) are not 100% happy with. If we are satisfied this is the case, then our models can step out in front of the camera or carry out promotional work for anyone from single photographers up to some of the biggest brands in the world, such as Amazon, Apple, McDonald’s and Sony. They work for retail outlets from small, independent boutiques to supermarkets like Morrisons and Tesco. They help sole trader dressmakers with fittings and also take part in shoots for major high street names like River Island, Next and Miss Selfridge.

Q: How do we contact Models Direct to book a model?

A: Existing clients will have their known contacts here at Models Direct. We work hard to forge strong links with our clients and therefore get to know those who approach us regularly for models very well. New clients can contact us in a variety of ways. Please don’t hesitate to call us in the first instance if you feel it will be helpful. Otherwise, please fill in our online form and we will respond quickly.

Q: What does Models Direct require from a client seeking to hire a model?

A: In addition to learning more about you, your business and the assignment itself, we also need to know the kind of model (or models) you are looking for. We work with all types of model. Do you have someone specific in mind, in terms of age, height, body size and look? Do you require a model with specific skills or talents? Should your model have had any previous modelling or acting experience? Increasingly, our clients ask us for models who represent genuine members of the public – and, of course, we have an array of very different people on our books to ensure we can meet those needs. We also pride ourselves on the diversity of our team and have plus-size, disabled and petite models available. Once we know who you are looking for, then we can send you a suitable selection to make your final choice from.

Q: At what point do we discuss a fee when booking models?

A: Once we know more about your requirements we can discuss the fee. This will depend on factors such as the level of experience you require from a model, the complexity of the role and the duration of the shoot or promotional assignment. We will also discuss any other potential additional costs, such as travel or accommodation if required. We negotiate a fee with you and from that we pay the model directly.

Q: Once we have booked the model, how much contact do we have with them?

A: None, until the day of the assignment itself. We will liaise with the model and give them any relevant or updated information. On the day itself, we leave all the organisation to you. Once the booking is successfully completed, however, we will step back in again as the main contact for the model. We will approach them for feedback and ensure they are paid promptly.
