Colours this Season: Greens and Earthy Tones

Dressing in green and earthy tones this season is not just a fashion choice; it’s a reflection of the season’s natural beauty.

All earthy tones unearth beauty and a glorious reminder of nature. As the leaves begin to fall, and a rustling in the wind begins to brew, summer is now becoming a distant memory and it’s time for us here at Models Direct to pack up the beach towels, put away the BBQs, and get back on the road. It’s quite an autumn that lies ahead!

We want to focus on colours because it isn’t just the fashion scene we’re seeing these gorgeous hues translate through but in other areas such as the cosmetic industry and interior design.

There are colours we love that we wanted to share with you, whether you’re a newborn model or a senior model, here’s some inspo for your everyday wear and your ePortfolio!

Greens

Top of the list goes to greens. We love the shades coming through and landing in fashion lines and eyeshadows ready to be glowed up for this season. When we were building our work-from-home offices a few years ago, we were bringing nature into our homes. Beautiful plants and green décor were the trend (and still are!). The greens have marked their spot in being a leading colour contender in all aspects of life. Fashion pieces have taken a little while to catch up but hey, we’re there now so if you’d like to incorporate this natural colour into your modelling ePortfolio (think jumpers, cardigans, shirts, skirts, dresses – you name it), wear it and take a snap. Olive green, khaki, and pistachio are some of the shades to look out for!

Nutmeg

We are spicing it up with this colour! Whether it’s running through your new hair colour, your eyeliner, cheeks, or outdoor wear, you’d be nutty to not blend nutmeg into your look. And for those portfolio pics, you can have a nutmeg-inspired backdrop to welcome the autumnal season and the loveliest colours it brings.

Burgundy

Another striking colour you can bring to the table is burgundy. The warm and gentle tones can resemble the falling leaves colour change which can be duplicated again into your hair colour, make-up, clothes and backdrop. It’s also a perfect bridal colour for this time of year – another exceptional hue for your portfolio pics so don’t miss it this season.

We hope these three colours uplevel your autumn-inspired modelling portfolio and add to your new collection.

And if you hear a rustling in the wind, there’s a good chance it’ll be us…
