Music, modelling and a fun night out in Norwich!

It’s not often that our models accept an assignment and are given the opportunity to attend a gig too – but that’s exactly what happened to female model Maggie.

Maggie from Norwich was asked by Models Direct whether she’d like to take on some promotional modelling work at the Norwich Arts Centre.

The job was to mingle with the crowd, give out free souvenirs and ask concert-goers whether they would like to be added to the band’s mailing list.

The band in question was none other than the Wandering Hearts, a London-based, alt-country and folk Americana group.

Maggie completed her tasks beautifully and was then invited to stay on and watch the rest of the gig at Norwich Arts Centre, a gorgeous venue set within a church dating back to 1349.

Male, female and child models from Norwich could be invited to attend assignments right here in the city or elsewhere across the country.

They might even be asked whether they would be interested in travelling abroad.

Norwich models sign up with us by filling in our form and sending us a photograph.

Someone from Models Direct will then give them a call to explain more about joining us and how our processes work.

Then, if you do become one of our models and a client requests someone like you, you could well be put forward in the selection we give them to make their final choice from.

Our clients ask us for all sorts of different models to reflect members of the everyday public in photo or film shoots – or to work at promotional events like this one at Norwich Arts Centre.

So, did Maggie enjoy it?

This is what she told us afterwards:

“My first job at the agency was to be a promo girl at a Wandering Hearts concert as they were coming around to play at the Norwich Arts Centre.

“I thought of it as a great opportunity to do something I love – meet new, amazing people as well as go to new places and events.

“My job was to socialise with the fans and see if they would like to follow the headlining band’s mailing list as well as give out very cute heart-shaped guitar picks.

“After I’d finished my work, the gig was still on for another hour so I was free to stay and enjoy it till the end.

“The staff were really lovely and talkative – and since I live quite close to the Arts Centre I’ve exchanged a few friendly conversations even after the event has ended.”
