After the long summer holidays, your child might either be looking forward to going back to school…or, they might not.
It’s a jump getting back into the swing of the school routine particularly after a long stretch of relaxed days. Your infant or child model might have had some modelling assignments during the six weeks as it’s an ideal time to accept work as your child is more available.
Anywho, with the thought of the back-to-school routine setting in, this is a great time to get some good pictures in for your mini-me’s ePortfolio.

Well, perfect – Models Direct has some great suggestions for you in case you’re lost in the back-to-school to-do list.
Pic idea no. 1: A record of their new year group
It’s a super cute one. Have your junior hold a paper, card, or whiteboard (whatever takes their fancy) which includes their academic year and the date you’re taking the pic. This will be lovely as a keepsake alongside building their ePortfolio collection.
Just be wary that information such as the school’s name and anything related to your child’s details shouldn’t be included for their protection.
Pic idea no. 2: Morning preps
Come school mornings, you know it’s always going to be a bit manic, but if you get the chance – and this is an if – try and get some quick getting-ready snaps of your child model. Having some brekkie, prepping the school lunch (unless you’re having school dinners!), or loading the school backpack are some nice morning highlights.

We understand why compiling the new year’s uniform can be quite stressful for parents, guardians and supporters. You might worry about the expensive gear, and not having enough to prep particularly if essential items are out of stock. And before you know it, it’s the first day back to school!
Grab your camera, it’s time to take your child’s first-day pic all kitted up and ready to leave the front door! Remember to blur, crop or edit their school logo or any affiliation with their school.
Pic idea no. 4: Journey to school
You might be walking, biking, scootering, taking the bus, taxi or car. Whichever journey your child is embarking on, take a snap along the way. (No driving and using the phone, no matter how lovely the pic will turn out!)
Don’t worry if you can’t get a snap in on exactly the first day back. We know it’s tricky juggling the new routine again especially if you have other children. Once you’re a bit settled into the first week or two, you can try them!
