10 out of 10 for model Malin!

“On the Models Direct books for just 10 days and selected for my first modelling job!! “

New model Marlin tells us about her first assignment as a fittings model:

” Hi! Just had my first assignment today for Models Direct and I was super nervous on my way in to London, but with the support and help from the Models Direct team (Charlie especially) it turned out to be a great first day!

I worked with a company called Séraphine and got to try on various items of clothing to asses how they fitted and felt. Everyone on the team was very welcoming and friendly which really helped and made me feel comfortable!
Can’t wait for the next one 🙌🏻👌🏻 ” – Malin Carlen

It was a very fun and enjoyable day for me to work with the team. The logistics at all times seemed excellent and very good communication at all times with me as a talent. I want to especially thank to Charlie, who was in contact with me all the time and always on command for anything.
I hope this is the first of many jobs we do together! Thank you Models Direct for this great experience!” #modelsdirect

2 Day Assignment for the Friend Family!!

“We always love a shoot when they provide accommodation as it always feels like a mini break!”

Model Fee: £1,333

We were excited and a little nervous about this shoot. We knew it was a 2 day family shoot with all the family including our eldest daughter Olivia. We had packed up the car early in the morning as we need to be there for 9am as it was only just over an hour away this was one of our closets shoots. The friend family always likes to take more clothes than not enough and our car looked like we were going away for 2 weeks not 2 nights. We always love a shoot when they provide accommodation as it always feels like a mini break. Shaun and I were a little apprehensive about the shoot being two long days 9-5 and having 3 children to try and keep happy and smiling is always on our minds. These shoots are never easy but we are so lucky are children seem to taken to easily. We arrived at the lodge which was the location for day one it was set in the most beautiful country side, we were working with a photograph Nick his assistant Cody and Tanya Reed head of corporate communications for Pennon Group. Tanya and Nick knew exactly what they were after which is always great when we have a firm direction. Trying to get that perfect shot will always take time but once again the children did amazing, even getting complimented from Nick and Tanya. The day went by very quickly with children getting time out for snacks, lunch and a little bit of fun on the Ipads. Second day was a completely different day we were all super excited as we were going to a reservoir to do cannoning and boating something we hadn’t done before, that’s why this job is always so good your learning and trying new things all the time. We had a quick briefing and safety talk and it was go go go. I just kept hearing the girls laughing and having a blast it always brings us so much joy to see the children having fun and trying new experiences and we get paid for it !! Nick said he got some amazing pictures and it was a wrap. This was a fantastic shoot with lots of amazing memories.” – The Friend Family

Why Baby Modelling is fun for Mum too

Lots of parents who contact the team at Models Direct wonder whether their baby is suitable for baby modelling.

Every new parent will tell you that their bundle of joy is the cutest little baby on the planet, and who knows, they could be right.

But what many parents don’t realise is that there is a huge demand for baby models. Joining a baby modelling agency like Models Direct can be a great way to show off your adorable little tyke to the world.

The market for baby care products is one that will always remain strong. Regardless of economic conditions, manufacturers of baby care products need to promote their product range in what is a very large and competitive market. Every parent of a young child knows just how many baby care products there are, from rusks and cereals, to nappies and wipes, to rash cream and skincare products, to baby clothes, the list is endless.

With baby modelling there is plenty of time for naps and feeds.

While starting your baby on a path towards a modelling career might be the last thing on the mind of young parents, a baby modelling photo shoot can be a lot of fun for parents and baby alike. It’s clear from the feedback from parents of baby models that it’s a lot of fun for everyone.

From a Baby Model Mother…”I started my baby modelling at two months, and during the teething months she was very noisy and we couldn’t take jobs on. The thing to know is that when your agency contacts you regarding an assignment you can actually accept or decline. I found that the most important thing was having a good portfolio for my child and keeping her pics up to date, that way she was more likely to be selected from pictures rather than having to attend lots of castings”.

It’s not so much that parents dream of their little baby becoming a model, just that it’s a great experience all round. The photographers and art directors who run the photo sessions are great at working with young babies and anxious parents, because they’ve done it many times before.

The Models Direct team do their very best to put parents at ease, there is plenty of time for naps and feeds, and they love meeting some of the other parents getting involved. The baby needs to be photogenic and it would be also good if they were quirky with plenty of character as they’ve got to have a sparkle about them. Temperament is also important; they’ve got to be good natured and sociable to put up with meeting lots of strangers.
