What sort of modelling work does Models Direct offer?

Here at Models Direct we offer a full spectrum of different types of modelling work.

We have been at the very heart of the industry for 35 years now and, as such, clients come to us with a wide range of requirements.

Take a little time reading through our many blogs and reviews to gain a full understanding of the incredible variety of assignments our models undertake.

But, in the meantime, here is a summary of just a few of the different kinds of modelling work we focus on:

Commercial modelling:

Commercial models are used to promote everything from the products we all buy when we go to a supermarket to the services we use and the holidays we enjoy. Many commercial models are therefore required to look just like a normal consumer – and they can be any size, shape or background. They do, however, need to be versatile and able to step into different roles.

Lifestyle modelling:

Lifestyle modelling is similar to commercial modelling but tends to really emphasise the aspirational – it focuses on the items we would like to buy, the clothes we would like to wear and the things we would like to do in order to enjoy a better lifestyle. Again, the industry needs a full range of models of all ages and looks for lifestyle modelling.

Everyday modelling:

Across the decades we have operated as a government-regulated employment agency, we have seen great changes in the world of modelling. Our clients have increasingly become aware of the fact that consumers don’t want to see endless images of supermodels and people they don’t relate to on screens and in advertising. They want to see people like themselves and therefore our clients usually ask us to supply relatable, everyday models who look like they could be anyone’s brother, sister, neighbour or work colleague.

Fashion modelling:

Our male, female and child models are often required to model clothing. Occasionally this may be on a catwalk but usually it is for a photo or film shoot for a website, catalogue or other promotional material. Our fashion models work for a range of clients, from niche, boutique labels up to some of the biggest and best-known brands in the UK and abroad. We often have a requirement for fashion models who may be tall, petite, plus-size or mature, as increasingly designers and manufacturers and producing ranges aimed at particular demographics.

Promotional modelling:

Promotional models undertake live modelling work, usually at a special event, exhibition or launch of a new outlet, branch or premises. They may be asked to hand out leaflets, demonstrate products or chat to potential customers and encourage them to visit a stand or come in and have a look inside a new store. Promotional models often have to dress in branded or colour-themed clothing and may well be working alongside other models or members of our client’s team on the day.

Fitness modelling:

Fitness and sports modelling is where clients request men or women who look as if they could be a genuine participant in a certain sport or fitness pastime. They do, therefore, have to look healthy, fit and sporty-looking. These models may be modelling sportswear or equipment or perhaps helping to promote a gym or leisure centre.

Models Direct helps match clients and models for a wide range of other modelling work too.
