Summer calls for enjoying the great outdoors, and what better way to make the most of the glorious sun beating down on you than to take some awesome shots to add to your ePortfolio?

Models Direct will be sharing some of our top tips for exploring in case you’ve run out of ideas or need to jog your memory. It’s been quite some time since we’ve finally been able to enjoy the gorgeous weather.
So without further ado, let’s go!
Think about your outfit
Whether you’ve got a baby model or you’re a mature model, thinking about how to dress for the season is a good idea. Forget the coats and gloves, folks! It’s the sunnies, sun hats, shorts, simple tees and baby rompers you or your baby will want to be wearing (and we want to see in your ePortfolio!)
As for footwear – sandals, sliders, and sneakers are all great summer ideas, or for those baby feet, just going barefoot – simple!

But not the harshness of its rays or shadows it can cast. You’ll want clear, crisp images which have little to no background distractions. Remember our fav morning and evening golden hour (after sunrise and before sunset respectively) suggestion which comes up in most of our photography-related blogs? Well, we’re not leaving it out in this one, as it captures the unmissable beauty of the colours in the sky. Why else would it also be called the magic hour?

No peeking at the sun though! Remember to protect your eyes with sunglasses or your prescription glasses so that the sun’s rays don’t damage them.
Include your background
Weather permitting, you can enjoy your surroundings and of course, take snaps. Whether you’re out on a walk – for owners of pet models, this is perfect for poses or you’re having a picnic in the park, grab your camera and start rolling!
Just remember to:
Keep your phone/camera battery topped up
Bring a tripod or selfie stick
Keep hydrated with water and hungry bellies filled with some food
Wear sunscreen
Dress according to the weather so you don’t overheat nor do you feel chilly
Above all – enjoy the adventure, the great weather and the perfect moments to capture everything!
