Manchester-Based Fashion Brand is Top of the Charts

Models Direct has been keeping up-to-the-minute with all the latest news in Manchester and it’s official! The 3rd annual Sunday Times 100 rankings were published at the end of June. Fashion brand Andanola has stamped its mark and celebrates that it’s the fastest-growing private company in the north west.

Since its launch in March 2018, it’s been turning heads, and with celeb collaborations such as Rosie Huntington Whiteley and securing Selfridges and Harrods as leading stockists, these avenues have helped it reach a wider audience and get it noticed as a place to shop for athleisure apparel. The latest sales have been an impressive £57.1 million with a huge 201.52% annual sales growth over three years.

The rising label is forecasted to remain a Manchester-based powerhouse which is both inspirational and motivating in equal measures.

As for its athleisure theme (a combo of athletic and leisure pieces) worn every day, we love the vintage sportswear-inspired tees, oversized sweaters, hoodies and their best-selling “Ultimate leggings,” selling 8,000-10,000 pieces a week. You’ll bound to see someone wearing a statement piece!

There’s certainly a lot happening in Manchester’s fashion scene as even though Andanola is at the top of the growth list, there are more brands and retailers whose HQs are set up in this busy city and have featured in the top ten too. Let’s take a look:

15th place Six Stories (bridal retailer)

34th place Castor (Sportswear brand)

54th place Club L London (fashion brand)

68th place Represent (menswear brand)

This demonstrates all the potential opportunities there are for models and clients to find and secure work here.

Models Direct recently had a request for female models to star in an athleisure brand fashion/lifestyle commercial photo and video shoot resembling what companies like Andanola would have done if they needed agency models to feature in their marketing campaigns.

If you’re registered with our modelling agency we have a lot of assignments which are based in Manchester. We’ve had bookings with Greene King and work set at the Manchester City training ground where our talented models have either been locals or were happy to travel into the city for their gig.

We’ve assembled some positive feedback from our models. Here’s what they’ve said about their bookings with us:

Male model, Raul, shared this with us which we’d like for you to read:

“Lovely day at today’s shoot filming at the Etihad Campus. The day was awesome from start to finish and what a great experience it was.

The client made us feel more than welcome and comfortable at all times whilst also being professional at the same time.

The models were great and made some friends in the process.

Huge thanks to Models Direct for the help in placing me at this shoot, I would highly recommend it. Can’t wait to shoot for the next one already!”

Jamie was also booked for the same assignment:

“So, today we were shooting at Manchester City training ground for a computer video game – what an experience.

I was kept up-to-date from start to finish. We started the shoot at 9 o’clock and finished at 13:00. The whole crew from photography and make-up did a cracking job of getting this together.

The rest of the models that came along were a cracking bunch of lads. We had a laugh throughout the day as this made everybody relax. The crew was setting up the lighting so that gave us a chance to have a good kick about on Manchester City training ground with the other models.

The whole day from start to finish was an experience I won’t forget. This is definitely something I could get used to. I’m already looking forward to what’s next. Once again a massive thank you to Models Direct.”

We’ll be bringing more local news, so watch this space! In the meantime, stay in touch with our blogs and socials to be in the know about what’s happening behind the scenes with Models Direct.
