When we at Models Direct look back at the deluge of feedback we receive from our models after their assignments we can see just how much they gain from the experience.
They not only tell us they have had fun and love the opportunity to earn a little extra money by modelling with us, but they often also say it has done wonders for their self-esteem.
Many of those who join us have never modelled before.
They have learned that our speciality is finding everyday models for our broad client base and that we need men, women and children of all ages, sizes and backgrounds.
Of course, our models have to be self-assured enough to know they will be able to step out in front of a camera, but many admit that until the booking actually begins they do feel nervous about it.
This is, of course, completely normal for the vast majority of us – and as our clients seek normal people to play the parts of other normal people in their photo shoots, it really isn’t a problem.
Furthermore, our new models are not only supported by our highly professional agents as the assignment approaches, but they will also be in the hands of a very skilled production crew on the day.
And very often too they get to mingle and network with other models who are there, models who can also offer them tips, advice and reassurance about their capabilities.
Some of our new models see joining us as just the beginning of a longer journey in modelling, acting or other roles in the industry and they therefore truly value the experience they gain.
They also come back to us afterwards to say how enjoyable it has been and how much they have surprised themselves by discovering skills and character attributes they weren’t aware they had!
After her first booking, Monique said:
“It was my first ever job and I was so excited – I practiced in front of the mirror until I got to the venue. I was nervous, but as time progressed I got more confident.
“When I sat in front of the camera, I was so shy but the model who was there with me was talking to me which helped to overcome the anxiety.
“The Models Direct team was great – they assisted and directed me in preparation in front of the camera.
“Overall, the shoot went well and I can’t wait to do more jobs with Models Direct.”
And Sophie said:
“I really enjoyed the experience.
“All the staff were lovely and the other models were too.
“It was a really fun shoot that made me feel comfortable even though I myself am not a very confident person.
