The summer holidays are over, the new term is about to begin and youngsters all over the country are looking forward to seeing their friends again!
Mums and dads and little ones alike are all eagerly anticipating the new school year and hoping the situation will be smoother for everyone than the previous 12 months have been.
Many of our junior models have been working over the past months, taking part in commercial assignments and advertising campaigns for well-known brands.
Some have been involved in family modelling jobs too, accepting bookings for photo shoots and filming where they have worked alongside their parents and siblings.
And others have taken part in modelling jobs on their own, accompanied, of course, by one of their parents.
Our child models enjoy the fun of being part of the action on a set and are always thrilled to see the final results of their hard work.
But the rest of the time they are just like all their other friends: they are youngsters who enjoy kicking footballs about in the park, riding their bikes and playing games together.
As the school new year begins, Models Direct often sees new interest from parents keen to see whether their offspring might enjoy the experience of modelling.
And we are always very happy to hear from anyone who would like to dip their toe in the water and give it a try.
So, as you start to think about new year groups, new teachers and seeing old friends again, why not give it some consideration?
Run through this checklist and see if you think your son or daughter might be suitable; then sit down and chat it through with them:
1. Is your child confident, friendly and comfortable around adults?
2. Do they enjoy new experiences and meeting different people?
3. Can they follow instructions well?
4. Are you prepared to keep their portfolio up to date with photos and information?
5. Are you happy to support them by accompanying them to assignments?
If you or your little one would answer “yes” to all these questions, then why not find out more about the experiences our other child models and their parents have had?
And, if you are still happy, you could get in touch.
You never know, the new school year might also be the start of something new and exciting for you and your little one within the modelling industry.
