The Kind of Modelling Jobs We Receive

At our busy Models Direct HQ, there’s a serious amount of varied work that comes in daily and our professional team are ready to make things happen and elevate our models’ experience.

We’ve been in the modelling industry for over 30 years and we’re still going strong because we love what we do.

Our team’s client requests predominantly land in our inboxes which our specialist coordinators then take on and see through to the final model selection stage.

What type of work would you be booked for if you were a Models Direct model? The answer to this is right here:

Fashion modelling

You might be booked to strut down the runway like a boss or promote a fashion show.

This is what happened with our female model, Bryanna, who was booked with UK-based independent production company, Smart and Savvy Women. She left us with this uplifting testimonial:

“My experience modelling with Smart and Savvy Women – fashion production was spectacular. From meeting and befriending the other models and designers to gaining more knowledge about the fashion industry and catwalking, and receiving advice about modelling techniques from the professionals for future opportunities; all made the event worth being a part of.

Not to mention, I have now dived into and developed the know-how involving the BTS of reality TV.

With such a friendly and welcoming environment, I felt very comfortable with everyone involved with the production and even with the crew members.

My expectations were definitely met, as I was treated with respect and understanding as I have never done a catwalk project before.

So in short, I absolutely loved it!”

Editorial work

You might be called for modelling work that converts into print format. This is a popular client choice for modelling opportunities, and our models are regularly selected for this type of work too.

Commercial modelling

Any type of work which involves advertising products and services on TV, in print or online is commercially specialised. If you’re an MD model, you might find yourself being booked for an interesting job as did Beau’s children for Intelligent Fingerprinting.

She left us with this lovely feedback:

“My two children loved their first paid photoshoot yesterday. All staff were professional, friendly, approachable and thoughtful. The communication we received from Models Direct before the shoot was faultless. Regular emails and phone calls ensured we had no questions left unanswered about what to expect. The studio & staff exceeded my expectations. Toys, snacks and drinks were provided for the children, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. They really enjoyed themselves, and earned money in the process! We are really hopeful for more bookings to follow. Thank you Models Direct.”

Catalogue modelling

The title is a big giveaway but needless to say, our diverse Models Direct talent, whether they’re young or senior, are selected for work intended to help curate our clients’ catalogues.

This is what Aina Šutka experienced on her day’s work with Foxlease Girl Guiding. This is what she had to reflect on her experience:

“It was incredible how quickly my day changed from things going wrong to having so much fun with the crew and my colleagues for the day! I was over the moon to be assigned as a model for a modelling job. Felt incredible! We did several shots for the Foxlease Girlguiding school/activity centre catalogue. Was so lovely to be a part of it and.. can’t mention how very beautiful it is at Foxlease. Breathtaking to be completely honest! I would suggest this place to everybody. Can’t wait to see the end result and can’t wait to be a part of something like this again. Thank you Talent Management for this assignment!!”

Promotional modelling

This live and sometimes interactive experience with potential customers and the general public is another type of modelling work we see our lovely models get booked for. Often, our talent gets stuck right in the middle of the buzz of incredible events, promotional campaigns and trade shows.

Our male model John shared his experience with a men’s mental health campaign – The Big Movement:

“A wonderful opportunity through Models Direct

Models Direct organised for me to take part in a promotional video for men’s mental health. The event is called ‘The Big Movement’ and is being run by the wonderful team Zoielogic. I had a great time and met some fantastic people and am hoping to get involved with this excellent cause more in the future.

I am very grateful to Models Direct for making me aware of the Big Movement and for giving me the opportunity to take part in it. Gemma at Models Direct has been very helpful and friendly, and made sure that I had all the information I needed to feel confident on the day.”

Our other jobs include:

Fitness modelling for sportswear clothing and accessories, or health campaigns.

Body parts modelling for those happy to show their hands, feet, legs, arms or any other body parts a client might request.

Plus-size/ big and tall modelling

Petite modelling

Fit modelling, differs from fitness modelling in that the model works directly with designers and manufacturers to ensure apparel fits well before mass production gets the go-ahead.

Baby modelling

Pet modelling aka Star Pets

We have an amazing array of modelling opportunities that pop up, which positively surprises us as much as it surprises our talent especially when we call them to inform them that they’ve been booked!

Our agency is very proud to still be in the position of connecting our prestigious clients (check them out here) with our models, and curating incredible content no matter which speciality it covers.

You can also check out our booking blogs to get closer to the real modelling stories, and our live jobs board to see what gets posted daily.
