Scrolling through the latest news, our Medway Models Direct Agency stumbled across some interesting local coverage in our hot spot.
We’re learning just how loved Kent’s pets truly, madly, and deeply are! They’re in the spotlight with a devoted column covering their authentic self, animal advice and ideas for days out because animals deserve to have just as much fun!
So we thought why don’t we take a look at some of the region’s much-loved canine companions, feline friends and other scaly and feathery buddies since our agency has a soft spot for them too? After all, we have a special pet modelling division dedicated to them – “Star Pets.”
It doesn’t come as a surprise though that Medway residents are committed to their human counterparts the way that they are. The pet population snapshot by the annual PDSA Animal Wellbeing (PAW) Report 2023 bears all. (We’re eagerly anticipating this year’s results, but all in good time though!)
As it currently stands with the latest results, a whopping 53% of UK adults own a pet. Hands up – anyone part of this stat? (We have a hammie exercising it out on his wheel, as we speak – and a kitten on the horizon.)
Medway’s pet gallery has some great snaps of pets in action taken by locals from surrounding areas. Our modelling team had a peek and saw some extraordinary Kent residents such as Ziggy the leopard gecko, and Juno, the dark bay from near West Malling. Guinea pigs AJ and Kerby, are part of the cute collection alongside a display of waggy-tailed pooches and lovely whiskered cats.
We did sit up and take notice when we saw Bunty the Dalmatian. Her caption states that she had her pic shown on Channel 4’s The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice.
We can relate to this as many of our pet models – our Star Pets – have been victorious in being chosen for game-changing gigs.
There are towns – Rochester, Chatham, and Gillingham, there’s history (Rochester Castle and Cathedral), there’s culture, there’s retail therapy and dining options in our hustling and bustling county and district council (aka a unitary authority in South East England), and there’s our agency!
Our not-to-be-missed opportunities (you’re free to check out our Job Board) will give you a picture of assignments that land in our inbox. So whether you like taking your pet for riverside walks along the River Medway, or you’re a fan of Charles Dickens’ literature, or you enjoy watching plays at Medway Little Theatre, then you’re at the right place to try something else new – not just for your pet but for you too!
