From TikTok to TV: How Social Media Stars Are Becoming Models

Did you know that TikTok has 1 billion plus downloads? It’s phenomenal how far tech has come, and the strong TikTok creator community is heaving with something to entertain everyone! With videos, music, trends, hacks, and live streams, almost everyone knows about the solid app, and best of all, it’s free!

With the massive exposure content creators are able to attract with the app many have enjoyed success in other industries such as, yup, you’ve guessed it – modelling!

Models Direct is shining the spotlight on the social media stars who have become successful male and female models.

Noah Beck (33.4 million followers with 2.5B likes)

Noah started his social journey via TikTok with his skits and dances. He later became the 2021 V Man cover boy and a VIP guest for Louis Vuitton’s menswear show!

Addison Rae (88.5 million followers and 5.2B likes)

Addison is a dancer creating waves in the modelling industry alongside singing and acting. She has collaborated with big brands such as Hollister, L’Oréal and Reebok, and has been the front cover for Glamour UK’s February edition. Addison’s name is glowing up in the industry but she still continues to create videos on TikTok

Noen Eubanks (9.4 million followers and 379.5 million likes)

Noen turned heads and got people scrolling with his mixture of music lip-syncs and comedy compilations on the platform. He then caught the eye of Hedi Slimane’s brand Celine and fronted their 2019 ad campaign which was a huge hit.

These Gen Z’s are showing how it’s done. Yes, it takes time and a whole lot of dedication along with talent and enthusiasm, but it can happen. TikTokers can step into the modelling industry and enjoy learning new skills as it’s such a popular platform for everyday people to use and pump out content for the world to see and enjoy!

On the other side, our clients have given our models plenty of exposure to the industry too. Some of our top-tier brands and companies have requested for models to feature in their TikTok videos to promote their names.

Flaming Grill hired Ben (PXSR-4734) to do this and he explained how it went:

“My shoot today was filming TikTok content for a national pub chain. The crew took tremendous care of me and were open to ideas and suggestions from the modelling team. We filmed a variety of scenes, some including dialogue, and had many laughs throughout the day, thank you Models Direct!”

Whilst Hungry Horse booked mum and daughter duo, Vanessa and Anna GCYQ-8937, for their socials. Mum shared this with us:

“What an amazing mother and daughter experience! We very much enjoyed our TikTok content shoot. Creative, friendly and professional shoot, from the beginning to the end, really put us at ease.”

So, whether you’ve got a few videos or shorts you want to get out there for others to learn from or be entertained, just remember that a professional in the industry or a fellow model could be watching and following your account!
