Every Look, Every Background – Diversity Shines at Models Direct

“Diversity” is a word that’s banded around in all types of media. Whilst it has progressed in the right direction and most people will agree that it’s a social positive, how many companies do anything about increasing diversity? Actually do. Most celebrate diversity, but some just include the word in their mission statements without knowing what it really stands for.

We don’t need to explain our views on diversity and inclusivity. Yes, we all embrace it and respect it, but the fact is that diversity usually arrives on our doorstep – or, more accurately, in our inbox. That’s because our huge range of clients are as diverse as the models they ask for.

If every brand we work with asked for one type of look (that is, one type of model), their advertising campaigns would soon lose impact, and they wouldn’t appeal to the widest possible customer range.

Everyone is different. Everyone has their own opinions, their own morals, and their own way of expressing themselves. Whether brands are multinational corporations or one-person speciality companies, they all want to show how they can help everyone, or how their products / services can influence their lives. It doesn’t matter if the companies specialise in finance or business, hospitality or retail, food & drink or leisure, or neither of them. Diversity plays a part in all their marketing material and advertising campaigns.

All clients know we are their first stop in the search for the best commercial models. We don’t represent one look, one gender, one age or even one species…as our modelling pets will testify to – or rather, their owners will.

The very best commercial models are therefore everyday people with the dedication, resilience, professionalism and patience to do the best they can when asked to pose and perform when the camera starts snapping – or rolling.

Diversity is needed in the modelling industry. By definition, most models are seen by the public / potential customers, so models of diversity are in the spotlight whenever they are asked to perform. It’s one of the few industries that not only doesn’t care what people look like, but the most various looks are an asset.

Whether you are an amputee, have unique skin characteristics, love to show off multiple piercings or tattoos or thrive in a wheelchair, you could very be our next model that our clients are longing for.

We believe there can only be more opportunities for everyone that breaks the mould. The demand for every type of model keeps widening its net. We have more clients than ever, more commercial talent, and even more office space so that we’re able to keep up with the demand.

There’s no better time to turn thoughts into realistic achievements, starring in sought-after jobs and earning money, all the while increasing your experience and modelling portfolios.

Diversity is here to stay, and Models Direct looks forward to seeing what you have to offer.
